Richard McDermott, the man behind Convert A Garage, has over 20 years experience in the engineering and construction industry. Seeing a growing trend over the past few years in garage conversions as a way to utilize unused space within a home, Richard and his team at McDermott Developments ventured into setting up Convert A Garage to specifically target this niche, upcoming market.
Richard realised this new venture would mean a whole new brand and online presence which is why he approached us to do the job.
The first step in this process was to research local construction and home improvement competition and fully understand the new brands values and mission. Once research was completed the design team created a visual moodboard which was presented back to the client for feedback.
After we received approval of our initial moodboard, we started to generate a number of logo design concepts that reflected the vision and values of the new brand.
The contemporary brand identity we created easily translates to construction site essentials including safety clothing and equipment as well as working seamlessly in the digital spaces too.
We ensured Convert A Garages new website would have the capacity to grow with the company. The website was built in such a way that meant when Richard and his team updated one social platform (Instagram), the content would automatically appear on the website. This was an important feature to have to save the team time but also ensure the website was kept relevant.
